About: Juniper Ann Blank is 17 years old and is about to enter her Senior year in High School. She decides that for her last year in school she wants to go to a private christian school with a senior class of 5 students. The story is about discovering on your own what you believe and then fighting for that belief. There is also a little bit of romance in their too.

Inspiration for Novel: This novel is roughly inspired by stories my grandmother used to tell me about her teen years in the 1940s and how she met my grandfather.
While this story is roughly based on stories my grandmother told me, the majority of the story is from my own imagination. This is not their story. Their story merely sparked an idea in my mind.
What the novel is about (this is a rough synopsis and will be updated as I work on the story):
Sixteen year old Millie Jacobs has a great boyfriend, a successful band, and her whole future all planned out. It is 1944 in the fictitious town of Brightman, Va located on the east coast; summer has just started and Millie is looking forward to spending more time with her boyfriend, Charlie. But everything changes when she gets the news that Charlie has been drafted into the Army for a deployment of two years.
One warm evening at the beginning of the summer in 1945, Millie meets a young man named Sam who has just returned from a two year deployment in the military. He is skinny, arrogant, he smokes and Millie does not like him.
As time goes on she warms up to him and they begin spending more and more time together. He introduces her to church and prayer and she begins to gain faith and love for God. The more time she spends with Sam the more she grows to love him and that scares her. What about Charlie? Will Millie be able to choose between the two or will cruel fate choose for her?
