"You are an original with something unique and powerful to say to the world.  If you choose silence, no one will speak up for you because no one else can." -Kevin Kaiser

Update:

Right before Nanowrimo started I decided to go with a new story this month, instead of continuing my novel from November.  My new story has the working title of "Brown Eyed Bow" and is about 20 year old girl named Bow Montgomery (Like a hair bow).
I'm completely pantsing this one (Pantsing= writing without any clue as to what I'm writing about.  No plan).  So I'm not entirely sure what this will be about but that's the fun of Nanowrimo, seeing where the story will take you.  It can also be a bit stressful at times but I love the challenge.
I'm off to a bit of a slow start this month.  I've only written a little over 2,000 words so far (although I haven't written for today yet).  I should be at 6,668 for my goal of 50k in one month.  I'll get there, I just need to stop getting distracted by other things.
For this story I am wanting to try a few different things.  I'm wanting to include different types of writing forms in the story like: blog posts, Facebook status and messages, text messages, letters, journal entries, etc.  Plus my main character is a writer and a day dreamer so I want to include some of her stories, daydreams, and poems.  I'm trying to go all out on this one and just have fun!

Here is a sample of one of the Facebook statuses of my characters:

Bow posts this after she gets hit in the head with a volleyball because no one saw her.  She feels that she is completely invisible.

Pasted Graphic 1.pdf  Bloom Montgomery: Hahahaha again??
Pasted Graphic 7.pdf Willow Montgomery: Be nice to your sister, Bloom! Are you ok, Bow?
Pasted Graphic 4.pdf Bow Montgomery: I’m fine Mom but Bloom isn’t gonna be…

I hope everyone is enjoying Camp Nanowrimo so far!  If you haven't signed up yet it's still not too late!

Camp Nanowrimo April

.

It's that time of year again! Camp Nanowrimo starts on April 1rst and I am so excited!

I am in love with the theme this year! I love all of the colors, the logo, and especially the Camp Bear!  I am also loving the new changes for camp this year!  You can choose your word count goal! You could choose to write any where from 10,000 words to 999,999 words!  Also this camp they are encouraging rebels! You don't have to write a new novel and you could choose to even write a script or a collection of short stories.
I have decided to finish my novel that I started in November, "The Diary of Juniper Blank".  I've chosen a word count goal of 30,000 because that is my guess of how many words I have left of the novel.

Here is a mock cover I created for my novel:

Here are some links that lead to more information about this story and I even have some excerpts from the novel:

Also in case you are interested, here is a book haul video that I made:

I probably won't be blogging every day during Camp Nanowrimo but keep an eye out on my blog because I will probably do at least one post a week.
